Usono is a MedTech company that revolutionizes musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound through dynamic imaging solutions. Our main product, ProbeFix Dynamic, is used by doctors of elite sports organizations such as Lugano FC, Torino FC and research institutions such as Mayo Clinic and MIT. Thanks to our hardware, they unlock new insights in the body in movement, for prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation.

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Project manager (4-5 days) to lead multidisciplinary medical device development projects from concept through commercialization. In this role, you will coordinate engineering, quality and clinical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable medical device regulations. The main project is the development of software (as a medical device) and therefore Agile & Scrum should be familiar to you.

The Job

As our Project manager, you will work closely with the CEO, CTO and development team to develop hardware and software propositions. You’ll shape the future of dynamic ultrasound by:

  • Create and maintain integral company and project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary team including R&D, Quality assurance, Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Affairs.
  • Lead and support Scrum team, acting as Scrum master.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support design control activities, verification and validation planning, and product launch preparations.
  • Report project status, milestones, and budget performance to management.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders and partners

Who You Are

We’re looking for a pro-active project manager with an entrepreneurial mindset.

  • Degree in (Software) Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of project management experience in a highly regulated industry. Experience with leading multi-disciplinary teams and project management of software development is a must.
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of medical device development processes.
  • Understanding of Design Controls, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and/or EU MDR is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Excel/MS Project/MS Planner, Jira, or similar.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or comparable certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Dutch is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial, not afraid to take the lead and make decisions.
