Your Job

As a Senior Controller, you are a key finance leader within the Regional Hub, accountable for the integrity, governance, and interpretation of US GAAP and local financial reporting for assigned entities. You act as a trusted partner to the business, providing financial insight, challenge, and decision support across business functions, finance partners, and Koch global organizations.

 

You lead financial interactions with senior stakeholders across entities, business units, and divisions, including Koch global and regional finance leadership, GPOs, Tax and Legal, government authorities, and internal and external auditors. You represent finance with credibility and authority, aligning stakeholders on financial outcomes, risks, and priorities, while directly supervising and developing a team of four Accounting Controllers to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution

This role reports to the GBS Regional Hub Finance Manager.

What You Will Do

 

  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet for assigned entities in your team, ensuring accurate and timely US GAAP and local reporting.
  • Regularly review the balance sheet and P&L to ensure that it reflects reality by looking back and looking ahead to manage expectations.
  • Apply Principle Based Management™ to support team members in their development, improving capabilities and encouraging ownership and entrepreneurship.
  • Provide operational support and guidance to the team where required;
  • Lead or participate in finance transformation, integration, and process‑optimization projects to drive standardization and efficiency;
  • Build and maintain credible, long‑term relationships with key (finance) stakeholders in the organisation;
  • Act as the primary finance advisor for business partners, proactively translating financial results into insights, highlighting risks and opportunities, and influencing informed    business decisions;
  • Drive operational excellence in the execution centers by advising and coaching on process execution;
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead finance process improvement initiatives, driving alignment with business partners on governance, decision-making frameworks, and execution standards
  • Accountable and responsible for correct periodic corporate reporting;
  • Final approval of statutory filings through a review process;
  • Managing operational tax related queries from the business partner.

 

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  •        Master in Finance, Accounting or Controlling. Post-Master Accountancy is preferred (RA, CPA);
  •        At least 5-10 Years of relevant experience which includes working in a corporate multinational finance organization;
  •        Experience with supervising.
  •        Experience in working within a shared Service Center concept;
  •        Experience in transition and/or transforming financial processes;
  •        Good system knowledge (SAP is preferred);
  •        Involved in/managing IT optimization projects are preferred;
  •        Solid understanding of USGAAP, local GAAP and tax accounting principles applicable to the entities supported.
  •        Fluent in English, both oral and in writing.
