The inaugural Deep Tech Connect: A Deep Tech Innovation Forum will be a full-day innovation showcase and deal-flow exchange with keynote speakers, deep-tech and GenerativeAI panel discussions, investor roundtable sessions and a startup pitch showcase.

HighTechXL, the Netherlands’ only deep tech venture builder, is proud to partner with Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC), the world’s largest startup competition for entrepreneurs addressing global challenges, to present Deep Tech Connect: A Deep Tech Innovation Forum on June 28 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

The purpose of the event is to foster an engaging deep tech investor ecosystem for thought leadership and deal flow exchange. The inaugural Deep Tech Connect will be a full-day event featuring thought leaders in deep tech as well as deep tech startup pitches and investor roundtable sessions.

Peter Wennink, President and CEO of ASML, will present the keynote address. ASML is the only company in the world that produces extreme ultraviolet lithography machines making the most sophisticated computer chips.

Nicolas Autret (Partner at Walden Catalyst Ventures) will present insights and key takeaways from The European Deep Tech Report, developed by Walden Catalyst Ventures in collaboration with Dealroom and Lakestar, followed by a Panel Discussion on this topic with Jean-Francois Bobier (Partner and Director, Boston Consulting Group), Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau (Envoy, Techleap), and Teska van Vuren (Partner, DeepTechXL), moderated by HighTechXL CEO John Bell. Jean-Francois Bobier will also give an Intro on the State of Deep Tech in Europe.

The event will include a Pitch Showcase with select deep tech startups (including alumni from Extreme Tech Challenge, HighTechXL, and LUMO Labs), Investor Breakout Sessions focusing on AI & Big Data (Victoria Slivkoff, Executive Managing Director, Extreme Tech Challenge; Head of Ecosystem, Walden Catalyst Ventures), Quantum Computing (Ton van 't Noordende, Managing Director, QDNL Participations), Semiconductor & Innovation (Brian de Bart, CTO System Innovations Team & Venkateswaran Jagannathan, Sr. Director, M&A and Corporate Development, NXP Semiconductors), and TechBio (Simone Brummelhuis, Funding Director & Partner, Borski Fund, and Guus Frericks, Founder & Managing Partner, DeepTechXL), an Investor Panel: The Landscaping of the GenerativeAI Space with Jooske de Groot (Director of Small & Medium Business - Netherlands, Microsoft), Andy Lürling (Founding Partner, LUMO Labs), Riemer Smink (Managing Partner, FORWARD.one) and Marcel van der Heijden (Partner, Fortino Capital), moderated by Victoria Slivkoff, and a networking reception.
