Marketing Maniacs is the ‘brand’ new community of marketing professionals on the High Tech Campus. The main goal is to connect and to share inspiring examples of what HTC residents are doing in the Marketing domain. Because stronger Marketing means stronger High Tech Companies.

Thinking about organizing events again? Need inspiration on content strategies? In the second session of Marketing Maniacs we look forward hearing interesting stories from the field.

The first topic will be covered by a company where organizing events is their core business. For over 50 Years Mikrocentrum is organizing industry events, knowledge transfers and providing network opportunities for the Hightech industry. Susanne van Doornik will share some of the lessons learned in marketing these events and addressing the Hightech industry.

Philips may be the most well-known company born in Eindhoven; nevertheless (or maybe because of this) emphasizing the importance of Eindhoven to Philips is an important communications objective. Freek Janssen will explain the role storytelling plays in achieving this objective, and how it is fits within the overall content strategy of Philips in the Netherlands.

The session is followed by a lunch in the Conference Center.

Speakers:

Susanne van Doornik is Marketing Manager at Mikrocentrum. In the past 5 years Susanne has successfully worked on bringing Marketing for Mikrocentrum to the next level. From messaging around their own products, to a more knowledge driven approach that provides more added value for the client.

Freek Janssen is content strategist at Philips Benelux; the ‘roving reporter’ in an integrated communications and marketing team. His objective is to strengthen Philips’ reputation in its home market with appealing storytelling – from human interest articles, to snappy social content and hero video productions.
