Teledyne DALSA Professional Imaging specializes in high-performance X-ray detectors using wafer-scale CMOS imagers. Our detectors are recognized worldwide as the benchmark in image quality and are used in the most demanding applications such as medical and dental imaging, mammography, non-destructive testing and security. Our headquarters are at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
To support our growing X-ray detector business in Europe, Teledyne DALSA is recruiting a System Support Engineer with knowledge in electronic engineering and software, for our head office in Eindhoven.
Strong interest in camera electronics, X-ray imaging applications and customer support are required. The job is open for candidates with a bachelor degree in (Micro) Electronic Engineering and/or Information Technology Engineering with at least five years work experience.
The principal task for the candidate will be to support our customers to install, operate and integrate our X-ray detectors in their systems. These systems are used in high-end medical, dental and industrial applications.
Additionally, the candidate will also support our Distributors and Marketing and Sales team for demonstrating our products at customers.
The candidate will join the international team of hardware and software development engineers in the System Development and Support Group (SD&S) of Teledyne DALSA Professional Imaging (TDPI), with headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and colleagues in Canada, United States, Japan and China. The SD&S group develops electronics, firmware and software for our detectors and gives technical support to customers.
The candidate will need to be a real team player since he or she will be the technical interface between the customers in Europe and the development team in the Netherlands. Knowledge of firmware and software (C++, C#, Python, and different OS (W7/10 and Linux)), is required. Experience in X-ray imaging or X-ray applications is highly desirable. Good communication skills are essential. The candidate should be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. The candidate should have a flexible mindset, a problem solving drive and be able to handle multiple tasks in parallel.
The selected candidate will work in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and will frequently need to travel to customers in Europe and other international destinations.
The candidate will report to the Manager of the System Development and Support group, located in Eindhoven. The SD&S group is part of the R&D department of TDPI.
