Site Accountant – Analog Devices Nederland BV and Analog Devices International Inc (ADII)

The successful candidate will have accounting & administrative responsibility for Analog Devices Nederland BV and Analog Devices International Inc (ADII) based in Eindhoven, Holland.

This position will involve responsibility for the finance function in Holland, working closely with the European Finance Centre based in Ireland and the General Manager in Holland. This is a standalone position with support provided by the Finance Centre in Ireland.

Accounting Responsibilities will include:

Ø  Preparation of monthly management accounts including:

o   Provision of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

o   Maintenance of month end files

o   Booking monthly accruals, Prepayments, Intercompany Charges and other adhoc journals.

o   Preparation of quarterly schedules

o   Ensuring timely reporting to the Finance Centre within tight reporting deadlines

Ø  Year-end tasks including:

o   Completion and filing of year end Statutory Accounts

o   Assisting with all audit related queries

Ø  Operation and maintenance of the fixed assets system on SAP

Ø  Completion of tax returns and compliance with local taxation rules including but not limited to:

o   VAT returns for ADII and Analog Devices Nederland BV

o   EC sales list returns

o   Corporate tax calculations and returns 

o   Tax returns for share reporting

o   Assist year end audit

Ø  Accounts Payable tasks including:

o   Coding and logging of invoices and intercompany invoices

o   Expense claim processing

Ø  Banking

o   Bi weekly cash flow forecasting

o   Wire transfers & EDI payments

o   Processing of payroll

o   Cash forecasting

Ø  Preparation of payroll and benefits including:

o   Working closely with the payroll provider to ensure correct processing of monthly payroll

o   Payroll journal

o   Employee bonus calculations

o   Holiday tracking

o   Share Options and Restricted Stock Units

o   Payslip Distribution

Ø  Ensure compliance with corporate/local policies and internal control procedures

General/Office Administration duties will include:

Ø  Ordering of stationery/post for the office

Ø  Filing of Accounts & Tax returns

Ø  Petty cash

Ø  Filing of all employee benefit documentation

Ø  Dealing with ADI Corporate queries

Ø  Ad hoc duties as required

Qualification

A professional accounting qualification or equivalent and /or a relevant 3rd Level qualification.

  • Good working knowledge of ADI’s financial systems (such as SAP) would be an advantage.
  • Hands on pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Highly effective communicator.
  • Highly motivated and works well on own initiative in a rapidly changing environment.
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple issues simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to achieve results through influencing others and build strong links with all departments.
  • Fluent English.
