As part of the DevOps oriented product team you will work on the challenges of scaling up our services to high volumes of users while at the same time maintaining a high level of safety and reliability to support a safety critical application context.

What you’ll do

As part of the DevOps oriented product team you will work on the challenges of scaling up our services to high volumes of users while at the same time maintaining a high level of safety and reliability to support a safety critical application context. Your operational expertise helps the product fulfilling our SLA’s and controlling operational cost.

  • Design, implement and deploy infrastructure as code for public cloud platforms (Azure / AWS);
  • Review another developer’s code according to the team’s standards;
  • Understand and contribute to software architecture with an emphasis on operational aspects;
  • Understand and contribute to requirements;
  • Contribute to software development capability improvement;
  • Broaden own understanding of programming, development practices and business context;
  • Work in an agile team developing products for safety critical applications;
  • Be a problem solver, not just a software engineer.

What you’ll need

  • Minimum a combined 5 years of professional experience;
  • Experience in software development based on JVM language;
  • Experience deployment to public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS);
  • Experience CI/CD (Jenkins, Azure DevOps);
  • Experience in software architecture;
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum;
  • Experience in container orchestration in a plus;
  • Experience in Terraform is a plus;
  • Experience in Python is a plus;
  • Experience in Automotive is a plus;
  • You see automation, containerization, observability and cloud as standard elements of your daily work;
  • Ability to drive wider consensus and influence decisions;
  • Be a team player.

Is Autonomous Driving (AD). Part of TomTom’s Location Technology Products technical unit, the AD product unit develops, delivers and maintains products for advanced driver-assistance systems and automated driving – with the TomTom HD Map at the core of their work. Every day, the team welcomes new challenges, does world-class R&D and applies it using the latest machine learning and computer vision techniques. Joining this team, you’ll not only play a part in making autonomous driving a reality, you’ll transform the way people commute while boosting safety and comfort for everyone on the road.

The job is within the RoadCheck product development, building a cloud-based solution for autonomous driving vehicles.
