The landscape villa will be located next to the lake, which is located in the heart of the Campus. The new building is being realized in accordance with the international WELL GOLD certification standard. This means, among other things, strict air exchange requirements and a lighting design that suits an optimal working environment. ‘At the High Tech Campus, more than 12,000 professionals work on the latest technologies in the world of tomorrow. That is why we not only focus on the sustainability of our buildings, but we also focus on the employees who work on the Campus’, says Van Oijen. ‘A healthy workplace is extremely important. In this way we bring innovation even further.’
The new landscape villa is sustainable, and also smart. ‘Employees can monitor their office, for example, by controlling the lighting with their smartphone.’ In addition, the heating and cooling of the building is sustainably upgraded by means of a so-called ‘Thermal Energy Storage'.
‘Together with a roof full of solar panels, this building fits perfectly in the ambition of the High Tech Campus to become the most sustainable campus in Europe by 2025.’
