About Usono

Usono is a MedTech company revolutionizing musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound through dynamic imaging solutions. Our main product, ProbeFix Dynamic, is used by doctors of elite sports organizations such as Villarreal CF, AS Roma and research institutions such as MIT. Thanks to our hardware, they unlock new insights in the body in movement, for prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation.

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Software Architect to design, optimize and lead the development of Usono’s software solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, developing and deploying secure, scalable (online and mobile) software.

You will also play a key role in building and growing an Agile team in an environment with multiple stakeholders and dependencies. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists and designers (UI/UX/Visual) to deliver user-friendly and robust software products centred around medical imaging.

The Job

As our Software Architect, you are the technical leader of the software team. You will work closely with the CTO to develop and execute the strategy regarding software. You’ll shape the future of dynamic ultrasound by:

Defining a vision to build and expand Usono’s software platform, including way of working and technical standards for design, development and maintenance
Being responsible for adherence to business needs and best practices
Leading the software team and technology selection
Ensuring quality by participating in code reviews, implementing quality assurance tools and ensuring the software meets performance, security, and maintainability requirements.
Managing and maintaining key stakeholders and partners
Working according to our Quality Management System (QMS)

Who You Are

We’re looking for a technical leader with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
Significant experience (> 8 years) in software development, including hands-on experience with various programming languages, frameworks, and tools
Deep understanding of software architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in multiple languages relevant to the specific project or organization (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Mathlab).
Familiarity with software development frameworks, build tools and version control systems.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
Understanding of database technologies and data modeling techniques.
Understanding of machine learning and AI-technologies (for medical image analysis)
Understanding of (the development of) medical grade software, and familiarity with the relevant regulatory standards (MDR, FDA and ISO13485)
Understanding of and familiarity with relevant regulatory standards regarding privacy and security (e.g. GSPR, ISO27001)
