AI on data that stays where it is stored - on any cloud. RedHat and IBM tell and demonstrate how to do this based on open source. In this workshop we will focus on OpenShift capabilities for data scientists and developers and the value it brings them.
We will provide a deep dive into machine learning models with IBM a developer advocate. The set up of this meet-up session is done in two tracks containing demos and a hands-on part with guidance for further learning about this topic.
17:00 -17:45 - Democratizing data science on Kubernetes
Meet OpenShift, the Kubernetes-powered hybrid-cloud AI/ML platform by Stefan van Oirschot - Red Hat
17:45 - 18:30 - Networking - drinks and bites
18:30 - 19:30 - Hands-on session - Using machine learning models by Damiaan Zwietering - IBM
We hope to see you at our workshop! Please prepare by getting yourself a free IBM Cloud account at http://ibm.biz/Bdz3V5 and bring your laptop.
Using machine learning models
The Model Asset Exchange on IBM Developer is a place for developers to find and use free, open source, state-of-the-art deep learning models for common application domains, such as text, image, audio, and video processing. The curated list includes deployable models that you can run as a microservice locally or in the cloud on Docker or Kubernetes, and trainable models where you could also use your own data. In the workshop we will explore the available models, implement using Python or Node.js and find out how to experiment and deploy using Node-RED in IBM Cloud.
It would help if you have Docker and Git up and running, we can do that during the workshop but it may take quite some time. Think about data (images, text, sound) that you would like to test and bring them to the workshop if you like.
