Communicating Strategic Insight with Exploratory Analysis and Data Visualisation

14 May 2019, 10:30 - 14:00

Learn how to more effectively use data visualization

From infographics to charts to visual journalism, data visualization abounds. But even though a visualization may be aesthetically pleasing, it may fail to accurately convey the right data insight. A poorly constructed visualization may even invite misinterpretation.

In this seminar, communications expert Alberto Cairo will share best practices for constructing effective, dynamic visualizations. You will learn to:

  • Determine whether data has been represented accurately in a visualization.
  • Construct dynamic visualizations that more effectively communicate ideas.
  • Identify trends and relationships in a raw data set.
