Mobile, personal, smart. The top technology trends in 2012 will help us live healthier lives, use our planet’s resources more intelligently, and enjoy life and learning through new digital experiences. What’s more, they’re all well represented on High Tech Campus Eindhoven. With its eco-system of over 100 companies and institutes, High Tech Campus Eindhoven is among the world’s largest science parks.
‘What China is to the world, Germany is to Europe, Southeast Brabant is to the Dutch economy’, is the striking expression mayor Rob van Gijzel used at the Conference Center on January 24 to emphasize the role and power of the Brainport region and the reason for 150 Dutch ambassadors to visit High Tech Campus Eindhoven and various companies located within Brainport.
On February 16, the first Dutch Solar Awards will take place at High Tech Campus Eindhoven. The competition is an initiative of Solar Magazine and is strongly supported by the Campus, which houses several companies in the field of solar energy systems. Among the nominees are two Campus companies: the startups Suncycle and TULiPPS SOLAR BV.
Some fifteen years ago you rarely heard - except in university circles - the word campus. As for now the phenomenon gains a lot of attention from media, business and politics. Over 100 participants from across the country visited the two-day symposium ‘Campus 2020’ in mid-December at High Tech Campus Eindhoven.
This year, Philips Research has started making some of its scientific publications available to all online. This concerns unclassified documents. On the one hand, these consist of publications by research staff in scientific reviews and, on the other, reports released for sharing with non-Philips staff.
