Sustainability
The green, park-like character of the site makes High Tech Campus Eindhoven a pleasant working environment. This character also reflects the Campus’ focus on sustainable and environmentally-friendly business practice. Since its establishment, High Tech Campus Eindhoven has been cooperating with environmental organisations, national authorities and other dedicated organisations to encourage sustainable and responsible behaviour. The Campus encourages the reduction of CO2 emissions by:
- Financial arrangement for the use of bicycles
- Facilities for car pooling
- Excellent connections to public transport
- Campus bikes to move around the site
- Cold and heat storage system
Alongside these initiatives of the park management, many of the Campus companies are working towards producing energy-efficient and environmentally-responsible products and production methods. The Campus also sponsors the nearby Environmental Education Centre (MEC) and participates in Countdown 2010.
